Kitchen Chalkboard

On the wall near where our pantry will go I decided to put a chalkboard area. 

First I drew lines of where I wanted it to go using a level.  I didn't bother to tape it off since we plan on trimming it out.  I painted 3 coats onto the wall then waited 24 hours, colored all over it with chalk and then we were able to start using it!

 

That's the wall near the pantry before entering the mudroom and the door to the garage.

 

After one coat of paint.

 

We have our basket ball schedule up on it for Jacob & Nathan, important dates and room for notes!

Now all it needs is some trim to go around it!
