Pork Chops
6 pork loin chops
3 onions sliced
a clove or 2 of garlic finely chopped
1 tbs butter
1 tbs oil
salt & pepper to taste
4 cups of water
Heat oil and butter in dutch oven pot. Cook onions until they start to caramelize. Remove onions and set aside. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Brown pork chops on each side. Then layer the onions and pork chops in pot. Pour in the 4 cups of water and simmer until pork chops are tender.
When I was browning my pork chops I got a phone call from my oldest kiddo telling me he was ready to be picked up from school. So I didn't get a chance to properly brown them. Never the less they still turned out great. I layered them, put water on them and took them off the stove and finished cooking them when I got home about 35 minutes later.
