Sealing The Bricks

The bricks are hard to clean and constantly dusty.  I decided to seal them.  I don't love the brick and sometimes would love to paint them or rip out the top half and just drywall there but hubby likes the bricks!

So here it is before sealing

I took a stiff brush and dusted off the brick really good then vacuumed it really well.

I used a water based satin polyurethane on the bricks and just brushed it on.  I did 2 coats.

Here's the fireplace with the bottom half done but not the top half.
